About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Program Officer with a strong passion for crafting winning proposals, designing innovative projects, and supporting organizational growth through new business opportunities. This role goes beyond writing—focusing on identifying funding opportunities, shaping ideas into fundable projects, and contributing to strategic
partnerships and program execution.

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of proposals, concept notes, EOIs, and project pitches for national and international donors
- Identify and track new funding opportunities, calls for proposals, and partnership prospects aligned with organizational priorities
- Conduct research, market and donor analysis, and contextual assessments to inform proposal and project development
- Translate program ideas into clear logical frameworks, theories of change, results frameworks, and implementation plans
- Coordinate with technical teams, field staff, finance teams, and partners to gather inputs and develop competitive submissions
- Ensure proposals align with donor priorities, organizational strategy, and thematic focus areas
- Support new project design, innovation, and diversification of program portfolios
- Assist in basic project execution, documentation, reporting, and donor communication following proposal approval
- Maintain proposal databases, documentation, and learning for continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proposal development skills (essential)
- Understanding of development sector themes such as youth, education, entrepreneurship, climate action, GBV, and community development
- Familiarity with project cycle management, including planning, M&E, and reporting
- Experience in proposal writing, business development, or program support roles (preferred)
- Strong research, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate with diverse teams
- Proactive mindset with an interest in growth, partnerships, and new business development
