We are currently seeking highly skilled and dedicated Career Counsellors to join our team, as a part of ENSSURE’s PCGS project. A PCGS (Program for Career Guidance Services), by ENSSURE, a career guidance program is designed to assist young people and students in exploring, identifying, and pursuing their desired career paths by providing a variety of tools and advice in choosing careers wisely, gaining the expertise and know-how necessary to be successful in their chosen fields, and navigating the job market. With this project of SET UP & OPERATIONALIZE CAREER GUIDANCE SERVICE CENTER & DIGTALIZE CAREER GUIDANCE SERVICES – Project for Career Guidance Services (PCGS), Six Career Counsellors will be recruited at Madhesh, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim province and take a lead of career guidance works providing career guidance services.
Essentials:
- Should have at least a Bachelors in Psychology or an equivalent degree in Social Science/Education.
- Should have minimum of 2 years of work experience in conducting career guidance programs, including teacher training, is required. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of successfully guiding individuals through career exploration and development processes.
- Should be able to facilitate trainings, programs and conduct counselling to youths.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential and reporting skill in both Nepali and English language.
- Candidates must be able to effectively convey complex information to clients and stakeholders and produce clear and concise reports.
- Should have experience in conducting capacity development programs and establishing effective networks with government and private stakeholders. This experience will enable them to enhance the reach and impact of our career guidance initiatives.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have the experience of working with local & provincial government.
- Preference will be given to those who have received national or international certificates on career guidance related courses.
- Proficiency in internet use is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Career Counselling: Provide personalized career counselling to individuals, considering their interests, strengths, and aspirations. Assist them in understanding various career options, educational pathways, and skills development opportunities.
- Career Assessments: Counsellors will administer and interpret career assessment tools to help clients gain insights into their aptitudes, interests, and personality traits, which can guide their career decisions.
- Digitalization: Able to provide career guidance online assessment to students and youth.
- Teacher Training: Should conduct training sessions for educators on career guidance techniques and resources, enabling them to better support students in their career exploration and decision-making processes.
- Networking and Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong networks with government agencies, educational institutions, and private organizations to explore opportunities for collaborative career development programs.
- Workshops and Seminars: Organize workshops, seminars, and events to raise awareness about the importance of career guidance and provide career-related information to diverse audiences.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions and prepare comprehensive reports on clients’ progress and outcomes.
- Stay Updated: Keep well-informed of the latest trends and developments in the field of career guidance to incorporate innovative and evidence-based approaches into counselling practices.
- Ethics and Confidentiality: Adhere to ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients’ personal and career-related information.
- Continuous Learning: Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance counselling skills and stay informed about changes in the job market and educational landscape.

- Research on SEO best practices to ensure content is optimized for search engines, increasing visibility, and driving traffic to the organisation’s digital platforms.
- Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy, ensuring it meets the organisation’s standards and guidelines.
- Work closely with different departments to understand their content needs and deliver targeted messaging that aligns with the organisation’s goals and brand voice.

- Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely publication of content across all platforms.
- Write and publish stories and testimonials to showcase their success and the impact of the organisation’s programs.
- Create detailed and engaging profiles of stakeholders to highlight their expertise and contributions.
- Develop content that supports client recruitment, retention, and engagement, including informational guides, FAQs, and success stories.
- Monitor and analyse content performance using analytics tools and provide regular reports to inform future content strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in content marketing, digital media, and education to ensure the organisation’s content remains relevant and competitive.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in content writing, preferably in the education sector.
Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with content management systems (CMS like WordPress)
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
